Broken

Falling hard can have many consequences for the body but I really wasn't expecting to end up like this. It's going to take me another two months to get back to normal, so please bear with me.

I'm also being told that, unless you have a Google account, you won't be able to read my blog any more. Obviously this is not good, so I will have to consider moving this to my own website. I'll keep you posted once I'm repaired!

Okay Stuart. Now you've got the sympathy vote..... and I'll have to take back any thoughts that you were just loafing and watching loose Women and Jeremy Kyle...
Looking forward to your return wherever it is hosted.
Martin.

Ouch, that looks seriously painful. Hope it's not giving you too much grief. On the plus side, you will at least have an impressive scar to show off. Hope you have a suitably dramatic story behind it... if not I'm sure you can make one up!

On another note, what's this about visibility being limited to google accounts?

I hope you are soon fully functional again.
(Who got to do the 'First Aid' - and did you supervise?)

Stu, the only question I can think of is: What'd the other guy look like when you finished ?~!

Hope you 're up and feeling better soon.

Holy handbags, that looks rough. Still it was nice of them to put a zip in for you. ;-)

In my limited experience of falling of things, the fall doesn't hurt, it's the sudden stop that gets you every single time. Thats what we were told during "jump out of the first floor window" lessons.

Re. the google thing, I think that they are just trying to wind down the old Blogger system. And they want bloggers to migrate to the Google platform. Nothing particularly sinister, just a bit of a tidy up. It shouldn't affect access for the great unwashed like me. Though it could mean you may suddenly lose access, and then have faff about getting Google to sort it out.

If you don't fancy setting up your own site, you could migrate it all to Wordpress. It's where all the cool kids hang out!

That aside I wish you a continued steady recovery, the amount of physio for that must be epic.

Ouch! That looks like a very hurty shoulder.
Best wishes for your recovery, let it take as long as is needed to get properly better, however frustrating this is.

But then I guess with being on leave you have been able to closely follow the games........

Oh wow, how on earth did you get into that state?! That's some pretty impressive bruising. Hope your recovery is swift and smooth.

Hi Stuart - what happened!? That looks like quite a serious injury. What kind of fall created that trauma?

I'm so sorry that you were badly hurt. Prayers are with you chap.

Ouch - looks a bit serious! Having said that, those are bruises to be proud of! Not a bad job on the stitching either.

Hope you're feeling better soon though.

thts some bad karma. who did you piss off to end up like that?

Did you have to go into an ambulance?

Man that looks rough!Hope you feel better soon!

No, I didn't go into an ambulance. I got up, walked home and went to A&E in the car. A broken collar bone isn't necessarily life-threatening.

Hi Stu

That looks nasty *ouch*
Hope you'll get well soon, we're all waiting for another post and more stories...

In the meantime I meant to show you this link. It's about paramedics in GLASGOW and (looking at their equipment/cars and fashion) prob a decade old *lol* (or maybe that's just the way they are up there, I've never been to Scotland haha)

It's quite funny... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njrixZQAMX0

ALL THE BEST

At the risk of repeating what plenty of people have said fluently - hope you're on the mend soon! What happened? Will you be ok to go back to the LAS? Best wishes, and fingers crossed for your speedy recovery :)

Bobbi

Thank you!

I had a very bad fall. Silly really.

I won't be on the frontline for a few months yet. I have a bit of physiotherapy to get through first.
