Random stuff from readers and friends...

These workmen are installing bollards to stop nurses from parking on the pavement outside the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary . They are cleaning up at the end of the day.How long do you think it will be before they realize that they can't go home?

Thanks to Roz for the above!

Thanks to Richard for this BBC news item http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/leicestershire/8098062.stm

Says it all about how we stand with some people, doesn't it?

And my friend Katie sent this link to her blog...there is a stunning photograph of Loch Shiel at the bottom of her page (oh and a few of her dodgy ankle, post fall!)

BBC Three Counties Radio interviewed me yesterday. You can download the recording here if you're interested (the interview's about half way in).

I've just finished a training course for the new digital (all singing and dancing) radio system we are introducing and I've been doing other duties away from the frontline but I will be back with the car next week. meanwhile, I'm off to Edinburgh. Ta ta!

Sorry, but I saw that picture a few times last year. It was captioned in various cities at various times - London, Dublin, Glasgow, Birmingham. Would be interesting to find out, a)if it is a real photo and not photoshopped and if so, b)where it really is.

Oh, I'm sure it's been doctored and passed around the web but I've never seen it before and it does have the element of possibility about it, doesn't it?

Enjoy Edinburgh - remember to get drunk and throw up on Rose Street, then start a fight on Lothian Road, yeah?

Unfortunately I'm working up there but I will try not to let the side down :-)

Sorry, I read the post before breakfast and had a rush of hypoglycaemia induced nationalism. I'd love it if it is true, it is just the type of stupid thing that people do.
Enjoy Edinburgh.

That was a very good interview. Well done!
I've never been to Scotland. I should, it looks stunningly beautiful. I'm a sucker for mountains and lakes!

Thank you. I like to talk, as you can tell :-)

If you get a chance to go to Scotland, do it! Take a road trip.

I read that article last week. I'm very glad she got prosecuted for it. It seems absurd that people would do things like that.

Have just added you on twitter too!

RE the photo: I think it probably is real and the posts unscrew from their fixtures.

Can anyone give me a minute-count for where the interview is in that broadcast? I've been through it twice and can't find it. I suppose I could just listen to the whole thing but that would be too easy!

Linda, the interview starts about 35mins in to the programme.

Looks like Alexander is right, and the posts unscrew.

Thanks, PK. Don't know how I missed it the first times through but found it now. Excellent job on the interview, Xf. It's nice to be able to put a voice to the blog and photos on Facebook.
