Mr Tonsilpus travels the world?

This is Mr. Tonsilpus - he's the creation of something I came out with a few weeks ago when I was joking about a children's character that could be related to this business. Lottie thought she'd knit him for me though and now that he's 'real', with white pus hat and all, I want to do something with it.

This blog is read in more than 110 countries around the world, so why don't we try to send Mr. Tonsilpus to every one of them on holiday? All I need is an applicant from each country who would like to take him somewhere interesting and photograph him. The pics can then be posted on a Facebook page that I will create for the purpose.

I think it will be an interesting experiment; similar to others that have been done with teddies etc. It will bring many of my readers together too, so let's try it.

All you need to do is apply by email for Mr. Tonsilpus, starting in the UK. I will post him out to you and you will have to post him on to his next 'assignment' when I get applications from other countries. He's only little, so we aren't talking about a huge postage bill. Anyway, I will try to send him off to the next country neighbouring yours when the time comes.

Take him somewhere interesting or unusual and post the photo (or video) on the Facebook page when it is up and running. You MUST take good care of him and try not to lose him please. No offensive pics will be published and if he is not received by the next applicant when expected, the experiment will cease.

Let me know what you think. It'll be fun if it goes well.

I think so too. I live in the San Francisco Bay ARea and we have lots of good sites to take photos of My Tonsilpus- Golden Gate Bridge, Giant Redwood trees, Pacific Ocean waves and big fire pits on the beach, Fisherman's Wharf, Tennessee Black Beach......

Have you ever seen the Giant Microbe site, Stuart? Lots of vile diseases, such as Ebola, are made from plush and sold! They also do mugs and Tee shirts! My sick kids, aged 19-23 love it and so do I! (I bought mono - glandular fever - as a reminder of how it helped screw up my life!)

Love it. I'm willing to take him for Australia - he can visit the Medical Education Unit of our Uni and I'll see if I can get a mate of mine in Brisbane who is a paramed to take a photo @ his station with him. Will also take him up the top of Mt Wellington.

Hey stu I'll happily take one with me on my gap (possibly) 2months post graduation from university. I'm planning on travelling Europe with a friend before gaining employment with NWAS so hopefully I'd be able to tick a few counrties off the list!

I've got you on facebook (I think) my emails kez132003@yahoo.com if you need it!

I've come a long way from the email I sent you nearly a year ago now asking advice, now it appears I'm the one advising students about the course and job!

Cheers and all the best for the future,

Kieran

I see you already have an invite to Wales... But we are hoping he will also visit us in South Wales where we can show him the beautiful Gower and perhaps take him camping?
Great idea... What charity do you have in mind?
BTW, Does he have some wellies?... Essential for a Welsh summer!
